Just a reminder that if you want to listen to the readings for Book 3 Chapter 1 & 2, you can find the links here.

I do hope that more people than me and Addie will take the time to listen to them all. You really are missing out on some of Tolkien's most beautiful and moving writing, interpreted wonderfully by the different readers. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to listen to all the readings in order and leave comments. That's not a huge investment of time for something so rewarding.

Just a quick reminder that Monday is the deadline for posting your Reading LOTR Aloud sections. Please comment on this post with a link to your reading when you are done. If for any reason you need a substitute or an extension of time, please let me know!

Assignments have now been handed out for Book 3, Chapter 1, The Departure of Boromir, and part of Book 3, Chapter 2 The Riders of Rohan. I would appreciate it if you would acknowledge receipt of your assignment, since LJ notifications (as we all know) can be spotty and I want to be sure everyone has received theirs. If you don't, you'll be getting a nagging private message from me, so please do comment and let me know!!

You have a week to rehearse and posting will begin on Monday, May 21 and end on Monday, May 28. I will make a post on May 28th where you can comment with a link to your reading. If for any reason you can't do your reading, please let me know and I'll find you a substitute. If you need a short extension of time, please let me know. It's not a problem.

Sign-ups begin today for the start of The Two Towers! Yay! As Chapter 1, The Departure of Boromir, is only 8 pages long and I don't want to limit the number of readers to only eight people, we will also make a start on Chapter 2, The Riders of Rohan, which is a long chapter anyway at 23 pages.

If you have a preference for Chapter 1 or Chapter 2, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you if I can. Also, in Chapter 1 there is A SONG. If anyone wants to volunteer to sing it (eyes Claudia603 hopefully) please do so!!
