Thanks to those who filled out the poll about reading The Hobbit aloud. Given the small response (only 17 people responded) even though a majority voted to start reading it, I think it's best not to begin at this time. I'm worried that there won't be enough readers. Perhaps when we're done with TTT we can revisit the idea. For now, we will stay focused on LOTR.

I had been thinking that once we are done with LOTR, we could next read The Hobbit aloud. However, given the pace we are going, that will be quite a long time from now. It occurs to me that we could start reading The Hobbit now, alternating months with LOTR, if people are interested. If you wouldn't mind filling out the poll below, I'd appreciate it. I'm more than willing to organize the readings if there is sufficient interest.
