Here is the new chapter of Read Lotr Aloud: The Two Towers, Book IV, Chapter 6, 'The Forbidden Pool'.
Thank you all for another lovely reading session and keeping this special project going! A heartfelt welcome also to
ellie_nor who joined us for this reading! I hope you had fun and enjoyed the experience.
Over the last chapters, we found that some listeners have problems accessing the files hosted on Tindeck. The reason is Tindeck using the flash player which doesn't work on mobile devices. In this case, you'll find a link to the MP3 file for direct download either in the reading entry or here in the chapter list. The MP3 file should play on your device without problems.
Please don't forget to leave feedback to our readers!

Date: 2016-06-27 09:58 am (UTC)So far, nobody had inquired about RLA as well, which didn't exactly give us hope about the interest in it, so I'm really happy you asked! :) I'll try to post something about what's going on in the community soon.

Yes, that's true. But even so it has changed a lot at RLA during the last two years; when I joined the comm it seemed to be the rule more than the exception that all readers also listened to the others, and left at least a quick "loved this" or so. Lately, though, it seems that most readings don't get any attention at all. Since we tried to get new voices on board I think this is an issue, as literally everybody who came for one chapter never showed up again, or only a second time. Of course, the infrequency of our readings might be another contributing fact, or anything else.
